How do homes provide safe shelter? 3rd Grade B Global Perspective Challenge 🤩 🌳🏔️🏠🥶

Cambridge Global Perspectives is part of the Cambridge Curriculum and aims to develop critical thinking, research, collaboration, innovation and communication skills in our bilingual students.

In connection to the Social Studies unit “How do geographical surroundings influence people’s lives?” Miss Constanza Velásquez led this activity and guided her students towards the development of the mentioned skills. This time, Third Graders had to design a safe home for a family according to the characteristics of certain climate zones, considering temperature, precipitation, condition of land, among others.

It was an enriching experience for our students, as they had to investigate about the topic given, work with their classmates and make decisions as a team, reflect upon their choices, design and create the model and present the information to their teacher and classmates.

In conclusion, working on Global Perspectives provides our students with a different and deepen thought about the world that surrounds them, understanding their personal, local and global reality to become Global Citizens.
